Classes
Children
At Team WKU, our children’s classes focus on developing more than just physical skills. Kickboxing is used as a way to help children build important qualities such as confidence, discipline, focus, perseverance, and respect, supporting them both in training and in everyday life.
Sessions are delivered in a structured but enjoyable environment. Younger children take part in fun activities that help develop balance, coordination, and basic movement skills, while older children are encouraged to work together, improving teamwork and cooperation.
Positive encouragement is used throughout training to help children recognise their progress. Combined with our clear grading structure, this motivates students to set goals and work consistently towards improvement.
All students take part in controlled, light-contact training suitable for their age and ability. This introduces an element of competition while reinforcing respect and self-control, with emphasis placed on effort and personal development rather
Adults
Team WKU adult classes are designed to help you switch off from daily stresses while challenging your body in a positive and rewarding way. Training sessions are energetic and engaging, leaving members feeling accomplished, refreshed, and keen to return. Whether you are completely new or returning to training, you will be welcomed into a supportive and encouraging group environment.
Training starts at an accessible level and develops gradually, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace. Sessions are suitable for all ages and fitness levels, with an emphasis on safe, effective training rather than intensity alone.
Workouts are deliberately varied to keep training interesting and effective. Classes focus on developing overall fitness, coordination, and controlled power through a wide range of kickboxing drills and exercises. Sessions may include technique practice, pad and bag work, movement drills, forms, and carefully supervised sparring.
